The Friendly Leagues Annual General Meeting was held at St. Peters in Burnley as there was only teams from Colne, Burnley, Accrington and Great Harwood present.

Having withdrawn from the league part way through last season, Darwen will not be re-joining for this season.

We were informed that we had won the 2018 season of the Friendly League, and that we would be receiving the Friendly League Trophy at the end of March.

The format of the league has been tweaked to ease too many events. The 16 and under age group has now been removed with the 12 and under becoming 13 and under, and 14 and under age groups becoming 15 and under. It was also agreed to introduce more mixed relays, so there are now 10 and under, 13 and under, 16 and under and open mixed medley relays. The mixed open medley relay will now start the gala.

With the loss of an age group, it means the canon relay will become 8 x 25m with one boy and one girl from each of the four age groups.
